Moreton Island fatbike trip - Day 4

Good intel is a valuable resource. So are ground reports, and sometimes there can be a huge variance between the two. The weather report the whole week was just like this, lots of showers predicted, but the showers could be counted on one hand the whole week (excepting Saturday when we left). Sun was shining, couldn't be happier.

So, a rest day was planned, and I promised the girls a brekky down at the restaurant to replace the carbs from yesterdays epic. Regular buffet bounty, this was course 3 or 5 of about 16.

A brief walk after brekky, the pet monkey had a lot of work to do - sea stars were washing up on the beach from the west swell - and was her duty to get as many back into the water as she could. Needless to say, this took most of her day.

So many colours...

I went back to the room for a nap, some bike maintenance and just kick back with a book. The afternoon was just too good to resist a short recovery ride.

We booked the monkey in for dolphin feeding that night.

Tomorrow was a day for recconnaissance, heading south on the bike.
